With a length of 140km and with about 8000m of elevation gain, the route starts from Saint Denis, in the North West and joins Saint Philippe, in the South-East passing by Cirques of Mafate and Cilaos but also the Piton des Neiges and that of the Furnace. The landscapes that it crosses its magnificent and the immersion in the atmosphere of the island is total.<\/p>\n
Cirque or Circus are roughly circular depression closed by high clifs due to local volcanism.
